Weaving Draft Workshop

Learn how to read weaving drafts

Learn how to read a weaving draft in this workshop!

A weaving draft is like a recipe for success on the loom, but first you need to know how to decipher it.

In this workshop we will look at 4 and 8 shaft twill variations, touch on Colour and Weave, and have a brief look at applying drafts to rigid heddle looms.

We will break the drafts into easy to understand parts and show how they work together to create a draft. We will also talk about calculations and heddle count.

The workshop includes 40 minutes of video, 4 printable PDF weaving drafts and additional resource links.
