Weaving with two heddles
Ready to go beyond the single heddle?
If you've been weaving with one heddle and wondering what else is possible, adding a second heddle opens up a whole new world - more structure, more texture, more creative possibilities.
This class is your guided introduction to two heddle weaving: what it can do, how it works, and why it might just change the way you think about your loom.
What you will learn
In 79 minutes of video lessons, you'll explore:
- Double width weaving - weave two layers of fabric simultaneously, joined on one side
- Weaving a tube - create a seamless, hollow structure straight off the loom
- Patterning options - unlock new design possibilities like twill
- Double sett - use two heddles to double the thickness of your woven cloth
This class is a demonstration - come ready to watch, learn, be inspired and weave your own sampler. No finished project required.
"I loved that the explanation and instruction on warping the loom didn’t leave me totally confused and lost as every other video I have watched did. The whole class was explained clearly and thoroughly, which for a newbie like me is just amazing."

Kelly is a self taught weaver with a big passion for sharing the timeless art of weaving with others. Kelly is known for her calm and slow teaching style and she bases her classes on how she would have liked to have been taught. She designs all of her own projects and caters for levels from beginner to intermediate. Most available classes are for the rigid heddle loom, floor, table and inkle loom weaving.
"I am a beginner and have only woven a few basic projects. I never thought I'd get the hang of pick up sticks or the double weaving, but by the end of this class I was able to do it confidently! I'm so happy I found this ☺️"
Madalina

"Absolutely the best instructions on warping two heddles. Prior to buying this lesson I was always confused after seeing other directions. Thank you Kelly I now can start my first project with double heddles. I love the threading sequence."
