Exploring Branoe (overshot pick up)
Delve into this fascinating Russian technique!
Branoe is a pick up overshot technique that is historically popular in Russian weaving. Through researching this beautiful technique, I have found that it can be applied to rigid heddle weaving.
In this course you will learn to weave hearts, patterns, cats, snowmen and trees!
Includes over 2 hours of video time.
This short course will give you an introduction to using this technique in sampling as well as show you the design possibilities.
You will need:
a rigid heddle loom (any size)
contrasting yarns
pick up sticks appropriate to the size of your loom
Please note - in addition to the printable PDF designs, you will find in the "text" section of each video, individual instructions for working the patterns.
