Pick Up Perfection

Master the art of the pick up stick for texture, patterns and fun!

   Watch Promo

Pick up sticks are simple and brilliant at the same time. For a rigid heddle loom, they are a wonderful discovery!

With the aid of pick up sticks, you can weave wonderful multi shaft patterns on your two shaft loom.

I recommend this class for an adventurous beginner, or for those who have completed the Woe to Go Beginner's Class.

This class runs for 4.7 hours and has multiple PDF files to view or print.

"Thank you for this wonderful course.I have learnt so much about weaving.

Heddle rods were always a mystery to me but after taking this course I am no longer afraid to try them.

I look forward to more courses."

Marilyn

In this very comprehensive course, you will learn a huge variety of ways you can use pick up sticks to weave gorgeous patterns and textures.

In the first section we work on a sampler to practice weft floats, warp floats and combining the two. We have a look at single stick patterns and beyond. Learn how to install and use a heddle rod for even more pattern possibilities.

This section gives you the space to enjoy and explore many patterns, and, of course, you have the option of coming up with some of your own patterns!

"Yes. I loved this course. When I got to the part in the video where you showed your filled pillow I oohed and awed out loud about how beautiful it was. Thank you for another wonderful class."

Connie

Then we move on to a beautiful diamond design pillow project. You will absolutely love this piece and will further learn just how versatile the introduction of pick up sticks to your weaving repertoire can be.

You can opt to sew your pillow together either on a sewing machine or by hand.
